A distinguished Professor and Program Coordinator at George Brown College’s School of Hospitality Tourism Management in Toronto. Her journey encompasses roles as a Restaurateur for Canada’s iconic CN Tower’s 360 Revolving Restaurant, a Certified Chef, a Five-Level Certified Sommelier, an International Wine Judge, a Wine and Beverage Journalist, and an AGCO Licensed Import Agent.
She also serves as a Brand Ambassador for The Wines of Vinho Verde Portugal. Her current research based on Canadian Sparkling Wine has been published in academic journals in Canada and Europe. Beyond her professional achievements, she dedicates her time to philanthropy as the President of Grapes for Humanity Canada.
Doris has served the Board of Directors for The Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers and currently serves the Canadian Association of Foodservice Professionals Board of Directors as Faculty Liaison.
She also holds the title of Gentle Dame, knighted by Chateau Magnol in Bordeaux, France.
